Mystery Quilt instructions
June marked the start for a six-step mystery quilt . Here’s what you need.
•1/2 yard red print
•1/4 yard different red print
•1 yard white multi-colored print or tone-on-tone
•Scraps of green prints - medium, medium dark and dark greens with lots of texture.
•1 yard for backing
•30 x 30" piece of batting.
Click the heading for each step to see the directions.
You will cut 9 “A” blocks (5 ¼ inches square), but only use one for Step One. Use a mixture of mediums and darks for this step. “B” blocks are 2 7/8 inches square. It is not necessary to square up your blocks at this point.
You will use more of the “A” blocks. Again, a mixture of mediums and darks is suggested.

Hospice quilts
Our goals: 2 guerney & 65 individual quilts
Make your hospice quilt no smaller than 40 inches square and no larger than 40 inches by 60 inches.
The smaller size is perfect for wheelchairs and the fabric won't get caught in the wheels. The larger size can be turn to the short size for wheelchairs and to the long side for a coverup on the bed.
