Pillow Project for DSS Children
LQ members are encouraged to make bright and colorful pillow cases. These will become Christmas presents for children from infant to teens now in Spartanburg County DSS protective custody.
Our hospice chair reports the need for many more quilts for patients at the Hospice House in Landrum.
You can pick up a kit at the next LQ meeting.
Make your hospice quilt no smaller than 40 inches square and no larger than 40 inches by 60 inches.
The smaller size is perfect for wheelchairs and the fabric won't get caught in the wheels. The larger size can be turned to the short size for wheelchairs and to the long side for the bed.
Ronald McDonald quilts
LQ members frequently bring their newest Ronald McDonald philanthropy quilts for Show and Tell. The club annually donates more than 100 quilts to the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville.
